Canada Express Entry is the most popular immigration system offering Canadian permanent residence, implemented by the federal government in January 2015 to replace the traditional “first come, first served” approach.
The whole process of Express Entry
Express Entry, an immigration program that is an online system designed to manage Canada’s immigration application intake. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility requirements submit an online profile known as an Expression of interest (EOI) to the Express Entry Pool through one of three federal Canada immigration programs or a participating provincial immigration program.
Applicants’ profiles are ranked against one another using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), a point-based approach. The candidates with the highest ranking will be considered for an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residency. Individuals who receive an ITA must submit a comprehensive application and pay the processing fees within 60 days. The federal government aims to process complete PR applications in only 6 months.
